Government research grants approved for our Deepweather Research Project

Global network

After an intensive year of proposal submissions and planning, we are proud to announce that our groundbreaking research initiative, “DeepWeather,” has been awarded a generous grant of €400,000. The funding comes courtesy of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, under the Central Innovation Program for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

The DeepWeather project represents a collaborative effort between Q.met GmbH and RheinMain University, demonstrating the synergy between private enterprise and academic research. From the total grant, RheinMain University will utilize €190,000 to augment their computational resources, facilitating advanced research capabilities.

We express our profound gratitude to Prof. Dr. Schwanecke and all other contributors who have helped bring DeepWeather to life. Their dedication and expertise have been integral to this achievement.

Research topic: “Deepweather – Development of a weather forecast with high temporal and spatial resolution based on dynamic parameter interpolation by neural networks in combination with the Internet of Things”
